This welder supervision course covers compulsory 120 hours of training with the appropriate experience to sit for the welder supervisor examination.

    Pre-Examination Requirements: The Criteria for Certificate No. 10 shall be one of the following:

    a. A welder qualification conforming to this document, evidence of attending or having attended a course of instruction for welding supervisors and not less than one year's experience in the welding of pressure equipment as defined in AS/NZS 1200 subsequent to gaining the welder qualification. The course of instruction, predominantly theoretical in scope, shall be of at least 120 h duration.

    b. A welder qualification conforming to this document and at least two years' experience in the welding of pressure equipment as defined in AS/NZS 1200 subsequent to gaining that qualification.

    c. A qualification in engineering, metallurgy or welding and at least three years' experience in welded fabrication, one year of which shall have included the manufacture of pressure equipment as defined in AS/NZS 1200.

    Note: Evidence of practical experience and knowledge may need to be submitted.

    In addition, a candidate shall have verbal and written communication skills and be able to write reports.

Short Course Delivery Locations Some short courses can provide accreditation for industry-specific registration, while others merely provide skills and knowledge in the subject area. Concession prices are available for some courses.
